Illuminated Manuscripts

After studying traditional iconography, I started to explore the idea of using traditional methods on contemporary issues. Living in the southwest brought to my attention water scarcity. Water is sacred there. I thought perhaps I could create sacred text about water with a nod to traditional illuminated manuscripts.  The topics expanded from there.
